Sunrise in Vilnius: The Magic of Morning Exploration

Mornings hold a special kind of magic—a chance to create the day on your own terms, no matter where you are. This January, I found myself in Vilnius, Lithuania, for just one day. Yet, even with such a short visit, I couldn't resist the urge to embrace the city during its quiet, early hours before my flight back to Barcelona.

Staying at the AirInn hotel near the airport, I woke up at 5:30 AM, ready to catch a 7:10 AM train into the city center. A quick 8-minute ride for just €0.80 brought me to Vilnius' central train station, and stepping out into the crisp, dark morning was like entering a fairytale. Snow began to fall as I walked toward the Old Town, its stunning architecture glowing in the soft light of dawn.

With a warm coffee in hand, I wandered through narrow streets, admiring old churches, red-brick Gothic cathedral, and snow-dusted Christmas decorations. The stillness of the morning, broken only by birds, dogs, and early commuters, filled me with energy and inspiration.

Those two hours in Vilnius were a gift—a reminder that mornings are the sunrise of your life, full of extraordinary possibilities. Whether you're in a small town or a bustling city, waking up early is your chance to see the world in its most serene and magical state.

I'm channeling this philosophy into my upcoming book, From Sunrise to Brunch, a guide to creating meaningful mornings wherever you are. Mornings are your time to dream, explore, and set the tone for the day ahead. In Vilnius, I didn't just see a city, I felt its soul in the quiet hours of dawn.
